Tips on Tuesday

For today’s tip on Tuesday we’re looking at your online presence in general.

We think it’s really important to share your good news.  If someone leaves you a great review, share it.  If one of your employees wins an award or does something really special, then share it.

Keeping a human (and happy!) face to your social media and online postings will help you build a warm and positive brand which people will notice.

We don’t believe in no news is good news; we believe in YOUR news is good news!

Tips on Tuesday

For today’s Tip we’re encouraging you to make use of every aspect of your business page on Facebook.

Facebook Aire Media Blog

For Facebook business pages you can turn on the Review feature, which means customers can quickly leave you reviews – based on a 1-5 star system – and even add a comment.

Why not ask your clients to leave a review for you – it is a really quick way of them telling people how good their experience was, and as more people use Facebook for finding business; a great way of encouraging new customers to try you out!

Five Rise Beer Festival 2017

We are delighted to announce that once again we will be sponsoring Five Rise Beer Festival.  Last year the festival raised over £2000 for local causes and we are very proud to have been a part of that.

Taking place over the 2nd and 3rd June at the Bingley Arts Centre, the Five Rise Beer Festival is organised by the Rotary Clubs of Bingley, who have raised almost £100,000 over the last 3 years supporting worthy causes locally, nationally and internationally.  Taking place at Bingley Arts Centre, around 70 real ales and ciders from all over the UK will be available to try out.

For more information on the event please visit Five Rise Beer Fest or follow on Facebook.

We hope to see lots of local businesses there to support the community!

Tips on Tuesday

A little bit of LinkedIn chat for today’s tip.

LinkedIn Logo

LinkedIn is about quality not quantity.  We have posted in the past about making sure your profile is up to date (which you can read HERE)but it is equally important to keep your profile smart and interesting.  Countless paragraphs will put people who want to connect with you off.  Make your descriptions snappy; make it easy for people to find out all the brilliant things you can do!

Tips on Tuesday

For today’s tip we’re going to give you a little bit of Facebook advice!

Facebook Aire Media BlogDon’t forget to make use of the Call to Action button on Facebook!   The time any potential new customer spends on a business page is fleeting so there are two main rules – make your content engaging and make it easy to get in touch with you.

The Call to Action button has a number of options from booking appointments to simply getting in touch; so you can select the one that works best for you.  But make sure you do select one, even if it is only a link to a contact page on a website.  Make it easy for the customer and they will respond by getting in touch!

Tips on Tuesday

For today’s Tip we’re going to share a generic social media tip.

Don’t forget to have your website linked from your social media profile and vice versa.  You want to make it easy for people to find you – don’t make them work for it!  Make sure your social media channels are linked from your website (and do ensure they open in a new tab/window!) and make sure your social media profiles contain at the very least an obvious website link.

Don’t be bashful – be seen!

Tips on Tuesday

A very short tip on Tuesday this week….and you’ll see why.

TwitterTipsAireMedia

Everyone is aware of the 140 character limit on Twitter so a great way of maximizing those characters is to use shortening software for any web links.   These services take a long URL and condense them down to use less characters – perfect for inserting into a tweet!  We use them regularly – go on, check out our Twitter feed to see!

Our two favourites are Bit.ly and Goo.gl – both of which come with tracking and stats on clicks.

Tips on Tuesday

For today’s Tip we’re going to be looking at making your Facebook profile just a little more approachable.

Image of a Facebook MilestoneWe’re a big fan of the milestone facility on Facebook; we think it adds a touch of personality to let your followers know what you’re up to.

They’re easy to create and – if you feel your Facebook page is quite dry with basic information – give a little more colour and emotion.

Create them by clicking on the three little dots next to the share button and adding the information therein.  The great think is you can add them retrospectively – so spend five minutes filling in your milestones and plumping up your profile!

Another visit to Twitter for today’s tip – what can we say?  We have a lot of tips for you!

TwitterTipsAireMedia

We all know that Twitter has a limit of 140 characters per tweet. We find it really useful to use the quote function – quote your own tweet and add a relevant phrase to give opinion or context.  It is a really good way of extending your character limit and making your tweets stand out, with the opinion adding flavour rather than just a dry promotional comment.

Happy quoting!

Tips on Tuesday

For today’s Tip on Tuesday we’re going to visit Twitter and give you a tip that could be the difference between getting a new customer and losing them.

TwitterTipsAireMediaThere’s no easy way to say this but on Twitter you have a three-second check out time.  That means three seconds before someone will click away from your profile.  It is therefore essential that you have your profile completely filled in.

Make sure your company logo is your avatar and you have a header image of the right size.   Ensure your bio is filled in with a succinct, yet informative few lines about your company and what you do.  If it is pertinent to your business, remember to put a location – although we see no harm in inputting this whether you’re location-based or not.  Finally, and most importantly ensure your website is there – that means all potential customers have to do is click.  If you make it easy for people to find you, they will!
