At this time of year we would usually be giving the advice that it’s important to be taking a break if your sector permits, and despite everything that has changed life to a “new normal” we think the advice is just as pertinent as ever.

2020 has been stressful, tiring and demanding.  It is ok to have a rest and take some time away from your social media channels.  In fact, looking after YOU and your employees and making sure they have a break is probably the best contribution towards marketing you can make.

If at all possible Take some time off to relax, recharge your batteries and ensure you’re refreshed to move into the final quarter of 2020!

Video is a fantastic tool to hook your audience simply because they’re very easy to consume. Try creating a small (no more than 60 seconds), but relevant video for your social media channels, give it an engaging title and useful hashtags and measure your performance using the analytical tools available!

Have you a goal?

Goal

Now football has resumed in England, albeit behing closed doors we started thinking about other goals!  What is your social media goal?

I’m sure most people will want to use their social media to sell their product or service and that is fine; a great goal.

But you can’t do that unless people see what you post.  Your very first social media goal should simply be to stop the scroll!  Catch people’s attention so they don’t swipe passed your post.

Are your posts engaging with a good image? Spend a little time being adventurous and finding creative ways to catch people’s attention.  After all if you stop the scroll, they may well purchase from you – achieving your other social goals!!
