Instagram is such a great option for marketing, especially if your business is image heavy.

Remember to be hashtag savvy!  There’s a wealth of available hashtags on Instagram, make sure you use pertinent ones that count!  Each time you tap a hashtag into your post, a drop down list will come up showing how many times each has been used.  By all means create your own hashtags, but make sure you use trending ones too!  There’s no point showing a great image if no-one is going to see it.

Some of our favourite – and most popular hashtags are: –

  • #mondaymorning #mondaymood #mondaymotivation #mondayblues
  • #tuesdayvibes #tuesdaythoughts #tuesdaytip
  • #wednesdaywisdom #wednesdaywords #wednesdayhumpday

Tips on Tuesday

When you’re posting on any of your social media channels it is important you post with your voice!!

Don’t post as you think you should, post to give value.  If you’re not posting honestly, it will be obvious and will not have the desired effect of gaining followers and converting those followers into customers.  Whilst imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, it also isn’t allowing YOUR voice to be heard.

Find your authentic voice and use it to build your brand.

A handy little 3-point checklist for all your social media posts: –

Checklist for Tips on Tuesday

  1. Have you checked your spelling and grammar?

There’s nothing designed to fill potential customers with a sense of dread than poorly spelled communications, littered with grammatical errors.  After all, if you can’t get your postings right, who says you can get the job right!

2.  Have you checked your links work?

Imagine the scenario.  You’ve hooked a customer; they’re interested in what you say and follow the link to your website…except it doesn’t work.  It is unlikely they will bother again!

3.  Are your images clear?

Images are great – we all love pictures and they definitely make social media posts more interesting.  Do make sure they’re clear on all devices and that the image is relevant to the post!
