Tips on Tuesday

We’ve mentioned – on countless occasions – how important it is to have a social media presence, even if you don’t think it fits your business.

Social media and messaging accounts for roughly 1 in every 3 minutes users spend on the internet.* With that statistic in mind, it really makes sense for you to ensure that your social media channels are active!

Making a small change in your marketing strategy could reap great rewards.

Tips on Tuesday

Today’s little gem of social media wisdom is something that we think is really important.

TwitterTipsAireMedia

You’ll know from previous Tips on Tuesday posts that we’re a massive fan of tapping into trending hashtags to gain exposure on Twitter.

That said, make sure any hashtags you use are relevant and appropriate.  Using a hashtag that has nothing to do with what you’re saying or any services you offer will just make you noticeable for the wrong reasons.  Similarly, be careful when discussing anything controversial or upsetting; again your social media feed is your public image.

Be amusing, join in, be mindful!

Having met Rachel on an online networking group, specifically aimed towards women in business, we had several discussions over the assistance Rachel needed and we were delighted that Aire Media seemed a really great fit at providing the all important exposure needed for three of her projects.  Certainly these three projects have so much visual worth that having a strong and visible online presence is vital.

We formulated a plan with Rachel involving regular posts on social media, streamlining and managing a number of her websites and generally helping her to have an online presence, freeing up some of Rachel’s valuable time for her other endeavours.

We’re delighted to have forged a partnership with such an inspirational business woman!

Tips on Tuesday

Probably the single most important tip you’ll read today and a cautionary tale.

Important Warning

If you include a link to your website in your social media posts PLEASE make sure the link is both active for clicking and working correctly!

There is nothing more frustrating to someone who is interested in what you’re saying than trying to follow a link to find out more and it doesn’t work.  You likely won’t be given a second chance!
