Tips on Tuesday

Another visit to Twitter for today’s tip – what can we say?  We have a lot of tips for you!

TwitterTipsAireMedia

We all know that Twitter has a limit of 140 characters per tweet. We find it really useful to use the quote function – quote your own tweet and add a relevant phrase to give opinion or context.  It is a really good way of extending your character limit and making your tweets stand out, with the opinion adding flavour rather than just a dry promotional comment.

Happy quoting!

Tips on Tuesday

For today’s Tip on Tuesday we’re going to visit Twitter and give you a tip that could be the difference between getting a new customer and losing them.

TwitterTipsAireMediaThere’s no easy way to say this but on Twitter you have a three-second check out time.  That means three seconds before someone will click away from your profile.  It is therefore essential that you have your profile completely filled in.

Make sure your company logo is your avatar and you have a header image of the right size.   Ensure your bio is filled in with a succinct, yet informative few lines about your company and what you do.  If it is pertinent to your business, remember to put a location – although we see no harm in inputting this whether you’re location-based or not.  Finally, and most importantly ensure your website is there – that means all potential customers have to do is click.  If you make it easy for people to find you, they will!

Tips on Tuesday

For today’s tip we’re going to take a look at Facebook.

Although only a small tip, we believe it is really important to have the Messenger feature on Facebook activated on your business page.

Although it is another form of contact to manage, it gives potential customers another method to get in touch with you.  If a customer is already on your page on Facebook, you have made good progress – it seems counterproductive to ask them to leave Facebook and go elsewhere to Contact You!

You can always set up your account so you receive notifications of new messages – and remember, if you respond quickly you turn on the 100% response rate badge!

Tips on Tuesday

For today’s Tip on Tuesday we’re looking at Twitter and the use of the hashtag.

TwitterTipsAireMedia

One of the best features on Twitter in our opinion is the hashtag and how it creates immediate relationships between your tweets and other people worldwide talking about the same thing.

Make sure you use relevant hashtags in all your tweets.  Use services such as Hashtagify and Ritetag (other services are available) to search for relevant hashtags and the data associated therewith to maximise your reach by using the highest trending hashtags.  Have a look through Twitter daily for the trending topics and see whether there’s any relevant for you to tap into.
