A Twitter chat is a live event where people include a hashtag in their tweets to discuss a particular topic.

remember to keep your hashtags short and punchy, and make people aware in advance the chat is coming.  It is a great way to really connect with people on Twitter and share your industry expertise whilst really giving off an approachable and helpful vibe.

Having met Rachel on an online networking group, specifically aimed towards women in business, we had several discussions over the assistance Rachel needed and we were delighted that Aire Media seemed a really great fit at providing the all important exposure needed for three of her projects.  Certainly these three projects have so much visual worth that having a strong and visible online presence is vital.

We formulated a plan with Rachel involving regular posts on social media, streamlining and managing a number of her websites and generally helping her to have an online presence, freeing up some of Rachel’s valuable time for her other endeavours.

We’re delighted to have forged a partnership with such an inspirational business woman!

Tips on Tuesday

We’re here to share the second tip in our January series on getting yourself ready for an efficient year on social media.

Image of definition of organisation

Make sure you allocate roles effectively.  Use the talents of your staff and make sure they’re aware you want them to do regular social media updates.  Make sure it is a visible part of their job description and not something you assume they will be doing.

Have regular meetings with them and find out what works and what doesn’t!  There’s no point being on social media if you’re not using it effectively.  Remember, social media is a free resource so having competent people using it is a great way of ogranically growing your online presence.

Tips on Tuesday

We’re back bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and ready to jump straight into our Tips on Tuesday segment.

For January we’re going to be giving general tips to get you back into the mindset of achieving as much as you can from your online presence.

Our very first tip of 2017 is…….organisation!

Image of definition of organisation

Take time in your first week of the year to have a think about your online presence.  Make a basic schedule of when you’d like to make posts on social media, schedule when you have important announcements to make or when you want your marketing campaigns to begin, have a think about what national events or industry specific events are coming up that you want to tap into.

Although it feels like you have a huge blank page ahead, making some basic plans now will mean that your time will be more efficiently spent throughout the year and most importantly you won’t overlook your social media presence during busy times.

Tips on Tuesday

For our final Tip on Tuesday of 2016 (yes, even we’re having a rest next week!) we’re giving you a generic tip.

Christmas TreeIt is ok to have a rest over the holidays!  Missing a couple of days of tweets or Facebook posts isn’t the end of the world.  In fact, looking after YOU and your employees and making sure they have a break is probably the best contribution towards marketing you can make.

When you’re rested and refreshed you will face the challenges of digital marketing and your online presence with renewed zeal.

From Aire Media we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful and productive 2017!
