Tips on Tuesday

As we rush head first into 2021, now is a good time to take stock of your online year!

It’s important to remember that social media – and your wider online presence – is an ever-changing landscape, and this has never been more true than in 2020!

At this time of year we always recommend reviewing your online year.  Check back using social media insights into which posts worked, and which were less successful.  You can then use the data you collect to create your online schedule and plan for next year!

Remember, as Warren Buffet said “it’s a good idea to review past mistakes before committing new ones.”

Tips on Tuesday

Although it seems a bit of a cliche, don’t be afraid to harness the season!

Christmas Tree

Have a think of some creative ways you can bring some festive fun into your social media marketing.   Why not have a festive photo competition; ask your followers to show pictures of your products in the most festive way possible – have a prize for the best one.

Some great festive content is a really simple way of making use of what is going on around you – and some trending topics – to engage with current and new followers.  Whilst the way we celebrate Christmas may look a little different this year, and the way you engage with your customers in person might need to be within certain parameters, you can be as creative as you want on your social media.

We’d love to hear your ideas about how you make your timelines more fun at this time of year!

Tips on Tuesday

It’s never easy to be a small business with bigger businesses as competitors and this year has made it harder than ever.

Helping hands

So what can you do to help small businesses out this year and moving into 2021?!

  1. Follow their social media channels
  2. Like a post
  3. Share a post
  4. Engage with their account by leaving comments
  5. Give them a shout out on your social media channels
  6. Tell your family and friends about them – what better than a word of mouth recommendation
  7. Had good service?  Leave a positive review.

Happy helping!

It is no secret that this year has been amongst other things challenging, depressing at times.  If you have certain products, experiences that fit within guidelines etc don’t be afraid to start advertising them early.

We get the feeling we’re all going to need something to look forward to so if you can spread a little cheer – even if it is September, give it a whirl!  If it suits you, and of course if it gives your business a much needed boost, start your festive season now!

Tips on Tuesday

Today’s tip is very simply, have a rest!

RestTake some time off over the festive season to relax, recharge your batteries and ensure you’re refreshed to start 2020.  Don’t be afraid to have some time away from your social media channels over holiday times!

Yes, you can put the phone down and enjoy some freedom!

Tips on Tuesday

Oh it’s only November, there’s plenty of time……then you realise that Christmas Eve is four weeks today!

Open Sign

It is very likely your working hours will be affected by the Christmas break.  Make decisions on when you will be open and available for contact and start rolling out the information to your online profiles now.

People are busy over Christmas – that’s a fact.  If you want to maintain attracting customers over the Christmas period, you need to give them the information as soon as possible so they can factor you into their plans!

Tips on Tuesday

Did you know it is just 10 weeks tomorrow until Christmas Day (sorry….sorry!)

Christmas

Use your time wisely! Make sure you have relevant social media goals for the next 10 weeks with a firm idea of what you want to achieve before Christmas.  As always given the time constraints, make sure your goals are achievable!

Don’t be afraid to share your company’s Christmas traditions across social media – giving yourself a little more personality at this time of year can be a really good thing.

It is also important to schedule in a break! Don’t be afraid to take some time off from your social media schedule over the festive season, with a view to coming back refreshed and ready to go in January!

You have 10 weeks….how are YOU going to use them?

Tips on Tuesday

Today’s tip can be applied to all your social media channels, online presence and in fact life in general (how philosophical!)

And the tip is?  Have a break!  It is ok to take a break from your online presence over the festive season.  In fact taking a break can be really important in recharging your batteries and getting you ready to start 2018 with a really great social media campaign.

Tips on Tuesday

For our final Tip on Tuesday of 2016 (yes, even we’re having a rest next week!) we’re giving you a generic tip.

Christmas TreeIt is ok to have a rest over the holidays!  Missing a couple of days of tweets or Facebook posts isn’t the end of the world.  In fact, looking after YOU and your employees and making sure they have a break is probably the best contribution towards marketing you can make.

When you’re rested and refreshed you will face the challenges of digital marketing and your online presence with renewed zeal.

From Aire Media we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful and productive 2017!
